What is Machine Learning?
Machine learning (A Type of Artificial Intelligence) is the ability for machines to predict precise outcomes, which are produced based on previous data. The machine will incorporate their pattern recognition skills which are coded into their code by the creator. They can adapt to the information received by adjusting to it and predicting the next course of action. This technology has greatly impacted the world in many ways and we use the products of Machine Learning everyday for eg. Virtual Assistants incorporate machine learning and so do social media recommendations and search engines.
Machine learning starts with data — numbers, photos, or text, like bank transactions, pictures of people or even bakery items. The data is gathered and prepared to be used as training data which will be used for the machine learning model that will be trained on. The more data, the better the program. From there, programmers choose a machine learning model to use, supply the data, and let the computer model train itself to find patterns or make predictions.
