This is the Community Edition of the PinePhone, featuring Mobian. This limited edition PinePhone is aimed primary at Mobian community members. The core purpose of this campaign is to provide hardware capable of running mainline Linux to members of this community, so the Mobian developers can benefit from feedback and code contributions to their project.
The pre-installed Mobian OS, that ships with this edition of he PinePhone, is an Alpha software build. This effectively means that while core functionality of the PinePhone, such as telephone calls, SMS messages, LTE, GPS, and GPU acceleration is optional, this is still an ongoing effort. Thus, the device cannot considered a consumer-ready product.
By purchasing this Community Edition of the PinePhone you support the Mobian project and its developers. With every PinePhone purchased through this campaign, Pine Store donates $10 to Mobian.

Due to logistic difficulties following the COVID19 pandemic, which have caused reduce air freight and border closings, PinePhone orders can only be shipped on their own, separately from other PINE64 products.
