That’s a fictional character on a show. The hacks you see on Mr. Robot (such as coming up with the idea of coding a 0day exploit for a femtocell to own the FBI standard-issue smartphone) are the result of 7 experienced hackers and experts brainstorming and working together for long periods of time (days and weeks in some cases).*

* Regarding the hacks of Mr. Robot (Irrelevant to the question): They would come to conclusions far earlier, but walking the audience through the process of hacking the FBI without risking national security and figuring out a way to make it visually compelling, more efficient, making it interesting for the layman viewer, discussing the software and the hardware with the legal departments and getting permission for showing it on TV, reviewing what has been done and why it can’t be done again, exactly why this method and not another and you know where I’m going with this. There might be an easier way to hack the FBI but it cannot be shown on TV.

So, that you are forced to constantly get on Linux and try something. That’s what I have done, and I am much better now that I ever thought I was….or was I?
